Mainstream Support Ending Soon || SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 R2

Microsoft declares to release last & final service packs for SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 R2 very soon.

Mainstream Support for SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 R2 about to end on July 8th 2014. This will result no enchantment or no future release of SPs. Somehow, Critical bug fixes may be release as QFE etc.

Currently, SQL Server 2008 is running on and SQL Server 2008 R2 is running on .

This sequence will stop with SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 4 and SQL Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 3.
